General And Specifics
- this exercise is a little more demanding than Triceps Extension / French Press, Overhand Grip
- beginners start with less weight, because the triceps is required alone
- if you are used to this triceps exercise, you can increase the weight
Starting Position
- pick up an ez bar with under hand grip
- lay down onto a weight bench or the ground
- hold the ez bar with stretched arms vertically above your shoulders
- do not stretch the arms fully
- you can fix your feet at the end of the bench or on the ground
Correct Execution
- guide the ez bar slowly towards your forehead by bending your elbows to a 90 degree angle
- the elbows stay up
- do not turn them outwards
- the upper arms should remain vertically to the upper body
- avoid a hollow-back
- hand and forearm are in one line, this preserves the wrist
- bring the ez bar back up again and repeat the triceps exercise
