General And Specifics

  • this shoulder exercise belongs to the category isometric training and can be done sitting and standing

Starting Position

  • put one foot on the end of a long towel
  • turn it in and hold the other end with the hand on the same side
  • the palm points to the thigh
  • the legs are hip width opened, knees are slightly bent
  • hold the back upright and the head up

Correct Execution

  • lift the arm at the side of your body without releasing the towel
  • ideally, your arm is parallel to the ground in the final position and the tension on the deltoid and the towel
  • hold the tension for 25 seconds
  • lower the arm, switch sides and do another 25 seconds
