General And Specifics
- this shoulder exercise belongs to the category isometric training and can be done sitting and standing
Starting Position
- put one foot on the end of a long towel
- turn it in and hold the other end with the hand on the same side
- the palm points to the thigh
- the legs are hip width opened, knees are slightly bent
- hold the back upright and the head up
Correct Execution
- lift the arm at the side of your body without releasing the towel
- ideally, your arm is parallel to the ground in the final position and the tension on the deltoid and the towel
- hold the tension for 25 seconds
- lower the arm, switch sides and do another 25 seconds
