General And Specifics

Starting Position

  • grasp a barbell or ez bar shoulder width with over hand grip (backs of the hands point forwards)
  • your arms are hanging down almost fully stretched out
  • stand with a straight back and hip width apart legs
  • the legs are slightly bent
  • fixate the upper arms to the sides of the torso
  • hold the head in extension to the spine

Correct Execution

  • bring the ez bar up slowly by bending your elbows without momentum
  • do not let the elbows wander outwards or swing
  • try to hold the hands in extension to the forearms
  • stretch the arms slowly and let the bar sink down
  • repeat the exercise several times
